How to make a complaint
Last updated: October 2026
Tell us what went wrong
We aim to get things right for every client. If we haven’t, we want to know, so we can put it right and learn from it.
You can tell us about your complaint in whichever way suits you:
- Email: enquiries@hammerready.co.uk (please put “Complaint” in the subject line).
- Phone: +44 (0)20 3488 8126.
- Post: Complaints, Hammer Ready, 32–33 Upper Street, London, N1 0PN.
What to include
It helps if you can include your name and contact details, the asset or property purchase or finance application your complaint relates to, what went wrong, and what you would like us to do to put it right.
What happens next
Making a complaint will not affect the service we provide to you.
- We acknowledge your complaint within 3 working days and tell you who is handling it.
- We investigate. Someone who was not directly involved in the matter will review it fairly, and may contact you for more information.
- We aim to resolve complaints within 4 weeks. If we need longer, we will tell you why and keep you updated.
- Our final response will be sent in writing within 8 weeks of receiving your complaint. It will explain what we found, what we will do, and the reasons for our decision.
Complaints about a lender
Hammer Ready is a broker, not a lender. If your complaint is about a lender’s decision, terms, or how a loan is being managed, please raise it directly with that lender using its own complaints procedure. We are happy to help you identify the right contact.
Complaints about your personal information
Please contact us first using the details above. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
